-
- This INIT provides for aliases to have SIZE resources and will override
- the SIZE in the appliation to which the alias points.
-
- One use is make a few aliases to the same application, giving each alias
- file a different partition. This is much easier than editing the application's
- partition size each time it needs to be changed.
-
- Ideally, to create and change the SIZE resource, one could GetInfo on the alias
- and edit the size resource directly instead of the usual Reveal Original button.
- However, this part was not completed in time for the hack contest. Its an
- important future direction :)
-
- Currently, ResEdit is required to install a SIZE resource in an alias file.
- Open the alias from ResEdit and click the check box 'Use Alias instead of original'
- button. Create a new SIZE resource with id of -1 and fill it out as needed.
- Alternately, paste one from another application. Save and quit.
-
- Thanks to Tom Knox for the idea, Marshall Clow for some assembly stub help
- and Pete Gontier for Get1Resource sample code on the Developer CD.
-
- This hack was written entirely during MacHack.
